About B&J Engineering

Family Owned Since 1980

Our Company History

B&J Engineering was founded in 1980 by Nate Wilcox in San Diego, California. In 2004 we moved the shop to Kingman, AZ. Nate’s sons Brian and Jon also work at the shop. We are a small family run shop and will continue to be.

B&J Engineering is a full service machine shop, our capabilities include, CNC and manual turning and milling, OD, ID and surface grinding. We also specialize in many forms of gear and spline generation. All different kinds of work are welcome in our shop. From rebuilding and or repairing almost anything to one off custom parts for your special application. Small to high volume production work is also something we do. Quality of work is something we take pride in and is always priority one. In addition to job shop services we have our own line of products. Including top quality quick change gears for sprint cars and midgets. Most of the best teams in racing run our gear sets because we don’t compromise on materials, heat treat or any of our manufacturing processes. Every set of gears we make is pattern checked and inspected to meet our high standards before they leave the shop. This leads to ultimate reliability. The bottom line is, nothing can buy you a better set of change gears! Our custom axles also receive the same treatment. 300m is the only material we use on the axles we build for high performance dune buggies, sand rails, off road cars and drag racers. Sprint car and midget axles are also available. Only the highest quality gun drilled aircraft aluminum for our custom offset and any other option you want live axles. Once again this results in the best combination of strength, reliability and weight savings.
